Job Title: Junior Procurement Specialist (Chinese Speaker)

Job Location: Rome, Milan (Italy)

Main Responsibilities:

• Procurement Planning & Strategy: Support the development and execution of procurement solutions for project delivery across various business units. Contribute to the design and implementation of overall procurement strategies that align with business goals.
• Cost Optimization & Risk Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely availability of resources, while managing costs and mitigating risks. Help build competitive advantages in procurement through proactive planning and supplier engagement.
• End-to-End Project Support: Assist in managing procurement throughout the entire project lifecycle - from pre-sales and bidding to final delivery and closure. Work closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure contracts are executable and financially sound.
• Supplier & Resource Management: Participate in planning and managing the procurement of delivery resources (materials and services), ensuring quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. Monitor supplier performance and contribute to resolving major supplier-related issues. Support the development of long-term supplier improvement mechanisms.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Help monitor internal procurement controls, ensuring compliance with company standards and audit requirements. Assist in managing regional procurement qualifications and approvals.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Contribute to the digitalization and efficiency of procurement processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, issue resolution, and contract quality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with planning committees and internal teams to align resource planning and drive better project outcomes. Promote a culture of collaboration between procurement, delivery, and sales functions.

Requirements:

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Management Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline, graduating between January 2024 and December 2026.
• Minimum 6 months of experience managing procurement related projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and quality assurance methodologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and manage tasks effectively.
• Adaptability to work in an international business environment, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills and cultural awareness.
• Language Requirements: Good command of English and fluent in Italian. Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus.
