Job Title: Photovoltaic Field Service Engineer (Agency Worker)
Job Location: Rome, Milan (Italy)
Main Responsibilities:
- Service Strategy: Develop and refine service strategies by proactively collecting and analyzing customer service requirements, and tailoring strategies to support specific country-level market dynamics and regulations.
- Installation/Commissioning Instruction: Conduct comprehensive installation and commissioning training programs for customers and certified installers, ensuring the safe, reliable, and proper deployment of all Huawei equipment. This includes hands-on workshops, detailed instructional materials, and certification processes to maintain high quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshooting for Malfunctioned Equipment: Provide multi-channel technical support for equipment malfunctions, utilizing both remote diagnostics and on-site services to quickly and accurately identify the root cause of a fault. Guide customers and maintenance personnel through a clear, step-by-step process to restore equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
- Hardware Replacement: Execute a streamlined hardware replacement process that includes the safe disassembly of faulty equipment, the professional installation and validation of replacement units, and a clear procedure for the return of defective parts to Huawei for analysis and quality control.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement a proactive preventive maintenance program based on both scheduled routines and data-driven insights. This includes a comprehensive set of tasks such as solar system performance testing, historical alarm analysis, physical inspection of cable connections, and regular export of inverter logs to ensure optimal system health and prevent potential failures.
Requirements:
- Proven professional experience in the solar or inverter industry, specifically in roles related to field service, technical support, or installation and commissioning.
- Strong expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, performing hardware replacements, and executing preventive maintenance tasks for solar inverters.
- Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for renewable energy technologies, including photovoltaic systems, inverters, data centers, electric mobility, site power facilities, or embedded power systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-project tasks and stakeholder needs. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Language Requirements: Good command of English and fluent in Italian
