Job Title:

Core Network Engineer

Job Location:

Sofia, Bulgaria

Main Responsibilities:

1. Take the responsibility of TL/TE. Be responsible for the delivery of engineering projects of CS, IMS, NGN, HSS, PCRF, PS, NFV, IT, IOT, and big data products. Serve as delivery engineers to support project delivery and solve technical problems of various products in the engineering.

2. Undertake maintenance and fault analysis of the preceding products, support routine maintenance, fault location, troubleshooting, and network optimization of the mobile core network, and improve network performance.

3. Transfer product technical knowledge to global core network technical support engineers through training and on-site support.

4. Support technical expansion and delivery of new product items such as NFV and IOT.

Requirements:

Business skill requirements: One or more of the following:

1. Be able to independently complete the design, change, and delivery of technical solutions for core network projects of medium complexity or above.

2. As a key element engineer, be able to independently maintain the core network with a medium complexity or above, and independently monitor alarms, locate faults, and locate complex faults.

3. Be able to guide new employees to complete project delivery and network maintenance.

4. Be able to communicate with junior-and mid-level customers about effective technical solutions, project plans, and progress.

Professional knowledge requirements: One or more of the following:

1. Have a good understanding of the network structure for the SS7 signaling network. Master the basic principles and applications of MTP3/M3UA/SCCP/GT. Understand the basic principles and applications of Diameter.

2. Have a good understanding of MAP key messages and service processes. Have a good command of basic mobile communication processes (such as call, short message, and location update). Understand key messages in the process. Have a good command of the three main procedures of data service attach, /PDP activation, and/RAU.

3. Have general knowledge of basic VPN concepts. Understand the working principles of OSPF and VRRP. Know how to configure OSPF and VRRP on the core network. Understand the working principle of the firewall.

4. Have a good command of the basic maintenance commands of the operating system (such as UNIX/Linux). Master the basic maintenance commands of the database (such as ORACLE/SYBASE/PT/SQL Server).

5. Have a good command of the CS, IMS, NGN, HSS, PCRF, PS, NFV, IT, IOT, and big data products of any vendor.
