Job Title: IP Maintenance Engineer

Job Location: (city, country) : Position open in Milan OR Rome

We are seeking an experienced IP Maintenance Engineer to ensure the stability and performance of ISP network infrastructures. This role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and client support, with a strong focus on routing, switching, and MPLS technologies.

Missions :

• Plan and implement maintenance strategies for IP (Datacom) network products

• Ensure optimal network performance through preventive and corrective actions

• Configure and optimise network systems using advanced technologies

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under SLA constraints

• Provide technical support and collaborate with clients and internal teams

• Prepare clear documentation, including operational procedures and incident reports

Key Responsabilities :

• Maintain and optimise ISP network infrastructures

• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents efficiently

• Support clients during project implementation and technology adoption

• Coordinate with R&D teams and ensure smooth communication

• Participate in on-call rotations for critical support

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in ISP environments, with strong expertise in routing, switching, and MPLS. They are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure. Excellent communication skills and fluency in Italian and English are essential.
This position will ask you to exchange in both Italian (fluent) and English (B2)

Skills & Experiences :

• Routing protocols: BGP/MP-BGP, IS-IS

• MPLS technologies: LDP, MPLS VPN (L3VPN), EVPN, IPsec, Seamless MPLS

• Redundancy protocols: IPv4/IPv6, VRRP

• QoS, Ethernet trunking

• Huawei equipment experience (PTN6900, ATN Series, ME60-X16) is a plus

A certification HCNP/CCNP is a plus
