Job Title: IP/Datacom Engineer
Job Location: Bucharest, Romania
Main Responsibilities:
Own the maintenance and performance of key enterprise networks, ensuring stability and reliability for critical customers
Lead the technical delivery of major projects from pre-sales testing through deployment and go-live
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and escalation support for complex network issues
Validate network quality, product features, and overall service readiness before launch
Plan and manage network changes and upgrades safely, minimizing downtime and risk
Identify and mitigate technical risks, run impact analysis, and execute switchover/cutover tests
Perform network analysis, reporting, and health checks to maintain stable operations
Create and test emergency/rollback plans to ensure business continuity
Develop the technical capabilities of engineers and partners (internal teams, integrators, distributors)
Coach and mentor teams, sharing best practices and raising delivery standards
Enable partners to independently deploy and support solutions
Requirements:
Proactive and reliable, with strong ownership of tasks and delivery quality
Clear communicator, able to collaborate effectively with pre-sales, R&D, customers, and external partners
Comfortable leading small or virtual teams and coordinating technical workstreams
Fast learner who can quickly understand new technologies and business needs
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and WLAN equipment
Strong understanding of enterprise and service provider networking protocols, including:
VXLAN, SRv6, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS VPN, BGP EVPN
Experience designing and supporting backbone, campus, data center, and WAN networks
Able to design network solutions and build implementation plans independently
Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex network issues autonomously
CCNA certification (mandatory)
CCNP or equivalent advanced certifications (highly valued / strong plus)
