Job Title: Industry Development Manager - Power Generation & Grid
Job Location: The Hague (Netherlands) or Düsseldorf (Germany)
Main Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industry Development Manager to develop and manage strategic relationships with key European testing and certification institutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring Huawei products meet the highest European standards and in leveraging test results to demonstrate the superior performance of our solutions to customers and partners. This role requires strong communication skills, technical understanding of the renewable energy sector, and the ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes. This position is within Huawei's European Digital Power Industry Development Module and can be based in either the Netherlands or Germany.
1. Establish and maintain relationships with the industrial ecosystem, including TSOs (Transmission System Operators), DSOs (Distribution System Operators), testing institutions, and certification bodies.
2. Track and identify standards and grid codes in Europe and key focus countries, especially those related to Grid Forming requirements.
3. Develop test and certification plans for PV inverters or Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and ensure the timely completion of relevant testing work.
4. Utilize expertise in grid codes, testing, and certification to support pre-sales activities.
5. Communicate new requirements from grid codes or standards to the Product Management team.
Requirements:
· Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external organizations, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across diverse groups to achieve common goals.
· Experience working within industry associations or certification and testing organizations, preferably within the photovoltaic (PV) and/or energy storage industries.
· Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate and engage with key decision-makers.
· Professional proficiency in English is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Fluency in a second European language i.e. German language would be a distinct advantage.
