Job Title: Grid Simulation Engineer
Job Location: Rijswijk, Netherlands
Main Responsibilities:
Customer Technical Communication & Demand Management
a) Serve as the technical interface for European PV & energy storage grid-connected projects, conducting professional technical communication, requirement confirmation, and technical alignment with customers, TSO/DSO consultants, and third-party certification bodies.
b) Respond to grid code review comments, simulation report revisions, and model rectification feedback throughout the project cycle.
EMT & RMS Grid Simulation & Modeling Work
a) Independently carry out simple RMS electromechanical transient simulation and EMT electromagnetic transient simulation for European PV/storage grid-connected projects.
b) Complete basic parameter configuration, model modification, condition setting, and result analysis of inverter, PCS, BESS, and PPC.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Economics, or a related technical field.
Experience in the PV&ESS modeling and simulation, or a closely related field.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
a) Proficient in RMS/EMT electromechanical transient simulation tools
b) Able to independently complete simple grid compliance simulation
c) Familiar with European grid code and its mandatory items
d) Familiar with inverter/PCS control logic and grid adaptation characteristics.
• Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Travel: Willingness to travel across Europe for simulation events and customer discussions/meetings.
