Job Title: Business Development Manager for Data Center Facility (m/f)
Job Location: Dusseldorf / Munich (other location can be discussed)
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with key end customers in the Data Center industry, including data center operators, colocation providers, hyperscale’s, enterprises, and other strategic accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including C-level executives, procurement, technical teams, facility managers, and project owners.
Identify new business opportunities, understand customer needs and investment plans, and develop account strategies to grow the Data Center Facility business.
Take full ownership of the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity identification, qualification, solution positioning, commercial negotiation, contract closure, and follow-up.
Develop and execute account plans for assigned customers, including pipeline development, revenue targets, forecasting, and regular business reviews.
Work closely with internal solution, product, technical, commercial, and delivery teams to provide suitable solutions and ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate with channel partners, system integrators, consultants, and other ecosystem partners where required to support customer projects and business development.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer investment plans, and major Data Center projects to identify potential business opportunities.
Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets and provide accurate pipeline, forecast, and business reporting.
Support marketing activities, customer workshops, industry events, and other initiatives to strengthen customer engagement and market presence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or Account Management experience, ideally within the Data Center, electrical infrastructure, energy, UPS, cooling, or related technical industries.
Proven experience in direct customer sales and key account management, with established relationships with end customers being highly preferred.
Good understanding of the Data Center industry, including customer business models, infrastructure requirements, investment cycles, and key decision-making processes.
Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and manage complex, long-cycle sales projects.
Strong customer relationship management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, from operational teams to senior management and C-level executives.
Strong commercial awareness, result orientation, and ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across internal teams.
Fluency in German and English is a must.
Willingness to travel frequently, mainly within Germany.
