Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Main Responsibilities:
• Perform site inspections and technical assessments for solar and energy projects.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support to customers, service partners, and subcontractors during project execution and maintenance phases.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting system performance and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate field service resources and work closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Deliver technical training to service partners and field technicians.
• Monitor equipment performance and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, service reports, and corrective action plans.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and service operations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of photovoltaic (PV) systems, electrical infrastructure, power conversion equipment, or energy storage technologies.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, operations, or technical support within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of inverters, transformers, substations, low-voltage and medium-voltage systems is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and technical reporting.
• Ability to travel regularly to customer sites across Bulgaria.
• Experience with utility-scale solar projects, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), or renewable energy assets would be highly valued.
